The only smart & wearable device that is always with you for all of your life's electronics and non-electronics needs. With just few simple steps you can transform iGlatch from wearing it as a wristwatch to wearing it as a pair of eyeglasses, vice versa; and its modular design allows for immediate Android based smart functionalities - smartphone, smartwatch, smartglass, and many more, etc...
Our Story
Our story of iGlatch™ - The Ultimate Smart & Wearable Device, began when the founder, Tan K. Pham, broke numerous pairs of reading glasses in his pant pockets. A victim of time, a few years ago Mr. Pham started to require reading glasses, which he has had to remember to carry in his pant pockets everywhere he goes. Naturally, eyeglasses and pant pockets do not marry well.

Year right!!!
The breaking of the glasses in the pant pockets was not the most frustrating and inconvenient part, it was the part of having to remember to pocket the glasses wherever he went that was most irritating - how inconvenient it was.
But he endured. He endured because there was no solution convenient for him.
Then came the story of the release of the Google Glass¹ in open beta form in 2013 and then to the general public in mid-2014. It generated a lot of excitement among Google fans and the media, but in early 2015 Google decided to stop selling the product. It did not work out well for Google. Since then a number of companies have come up with supposedly better smart glasses, inspired by Google Glass failure mostly due to aesthetic and privacy concern of the product. So far, none has generated any mainstream acceptance; in fact, despite its failure Google Glass has generated more media attention than any other similar products. Google has continued further development of its glass product, but reserved only for enterprise applications.
Do you know the story of the glass-hole?
For our founder though, he thought Google Glass is a very innovative product; its failure was mostly a matter of inconvenience - where to store the device when mostly not in mobile use? It came back to the story of broken glasses in pant pockets.

Wish you had one?
Then came another story - the release of the first Apple Watch² in April 2015, right after the soft death of the Google Glass. Ah, another smart watch, but this time it carried the Apple name and so all the fanfare that came with it. How useful is the watch other than some simple notifications with rudimentary health features at best? Just another bluetooth attachment device? But but...our founder has found something useful with it...the fact that it is worn on one's wrist makes it very useful that it is always with you, other than when you have to remove it for charging.
See the problems with all of these existing devices? Each one has its own strengths, but it's the weaknesses that have prevented these wearable devices from mainstream acceptance. So, months after the release of the Apple Watch our founder had an innovative thought: an idea of a single wearable device that solves all of the issues described above - a wearable device that:
1. when you need a pair of glasses for reading or whatever purposes it is always there with you without having to remember to carry it;
2. when you don't need the eyeglass feature, then with few simple steps the device becomes a watch that can be worn on your wrist; and vice versa with few simple steps to turn the wristwatch into a pair of eyeglasses;
3. can be a smart watch, a smart phone, a smart glass, or other useful mobile features whenever needed;
4. is always with you as a true wearable device on your body; there is never a need to remember to carry it around.

Do you own one of these and finding little use of it?
Born the iGlatch™ = eyeGlass(iGlass) + Watch - a device that is both a wristwatch and a pair of eyeglasses, and in today's world of electronics it is also a smart watch, a smart phone, a smart glass, and among other mobile wearable features.
Over the next two and a half years after the initial idea concept, our founder formed a team of experts to help with the design and physical prototype and have it patented (pending), see our Risks and Challengessection for our prototype development story.
Our final challenge is the production process, and if iGlatch™ turns out to be a success, which we are very confident it will, we will then raise more money from Venture Capital funds to elevate our team to the next level to further develop our wearable products. Our goal is to innovate so as make wearable devices eventually becoming a part of everyone's daily life. We are ready to accept this challenge with your help of backing our iGlatch™ project. We promise to keep you all up to date, in the Updates section and via emails, with our spending details, production processes, and to deliver the final product to all backers on time. Should we fail at any stage that might affect our delivery of this ultimate device we will immediately inform you so you can be assured of our delivery intention.
The funding will be used to pay various manufacturers for:
1. the initial injection molding processes for the glass/watch frames and electronics hardware to produce the final production prototype
2. stress testing and necessary iteration changes (if required) of the production prototype
3. order of the parts after the final production prototype tests are done
4. assembly of the parts into final product, and packaging
Our Kickstarter prices have been discounted to thank and show you our appreciation for backing our product. Even with the discounts we expect to make some profit if our funding goal is met. The profit will be used to reinvest into the company, and with possible additional fund raising from Venture Capital firms we will further innovate our wearable products and take our company to the next level.
If our campaign is successful you will be contacted by us right after the campaign ended where you will a chance to then customize your iGlatch device in terms of size, color and lenses type.
